Cutting Edge Cancer Treatments from Traditional to "Alternative" … No Hocus Pocus, Just What Works!

Dr. Demian Dressler, DVM, also known by clients and colleagues as the "Dog Cancer Vet," has been deep in the trenches of canine cancer for over a decade.

Deeply disturbed by the skyrocketing cancer rates in man’s best friend, Dr. Dressler has been preoccupied — some would say “obsessed” — with finding cancer treatments that really work in real dogs.

He has been looking for — and has discovered — treatments that go beyond chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery.

Why? Because the treatments he learned in veterinary school are sometimes toxic to dogs and don’t succeed as often as they should.

Dr. Dressler’s rigorously scientific "Full Spectrum Approach" to dog cancer includes not just the traditional treatments from veterinary medicine … there’s more, a whole lot more.

He has unearthed these treatments for canine cancer from every corner of the globe and he shares them in his new book.

Written with a "show me the proof" attitude from a graduate of the prestigious Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine — which U.S. News and World Report names the best veterinary school in the United States — Dr. Dressler’s comprehensive guide to dog cancer is aptly named  The Dog Cancer Survival Guide: Beyond Surgery, Chemotherapy & Radiation.

This full-length e-book separates the facts from the fiction and covers every possible option for your dog — from the traditional to the “far out”.

Dr. Dressler guides you through chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, diets, lifestyle changes, mind-body medicine, and the latest cutting edge supplements … all scientifically proven to help support eradicating the signs and symptoms of cancer in your dog

Are You Confused by all the Hype on the Internet?

Here’s how you’ll know what works:

If you have been searching on the Internet, you may have encountered a lot of hype and conflicting information about various dog cancer treatments.  You need some help to sort out what is real and really works from what isn't and doesn't work. This is where the Dog Cancer Vet comes in.

If  the treatment works, and has been proven to work in the real world in live animals (not just in test tubes), it is included in Dog Cancer Survival Guide.

This is everything you need to know about canine cancer and what you can offer your dog in practice (not in theory). This book empowers you to really help your dog and to become your dog’s Primary Health Advocate beginning the moment you download this e-book.

Use this book to make your plan and start living again, with Dr. Dressler’s help.

Here is Why You Need This...

The problems with the “Big Three”

The "Big Three" guns that are used in traditional canine cancer treatments are 1) Surgery, 2) Chemotherapy and 3) Radiation.

Dr. Dressler uses all three traditional treatments in his own clinic, and he uses them with “eyes wide open” — acutely aware of their risks, and side effects, and how to use them wisely.

Here is the problem...

In human cancer, the goal is to cure the disease. Chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery are deployed with speed and full force to get the job done.

Many human cancer patients have heard: "We’re going to bring you to the brink of death before we can bring you back."

The "Catch 22" for dog cancer is that we can’t tell our dog about how bad it’s going to get before they get better. We can’t get informed consent for the potentially painful and toxic side effects of treatment.

Since most dog lovers — and most vets — could not bear to see their dog get so sick, with dog cancer,  the goal of treatment is palliation, or making things better, rather than cure.

So even if chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery do cure dog cancer in theory, they rarely do in practice.

There must be a better way — and there is!

Dr. Dressler knew in his heart there had to be a better way to approach dog cancer.

He set out to find it.  He spoke with lots of other vets all over the world: Traditional Veterinarians, Oncologists, Lab Researchers, Holistic Vets.

But Dr. Dressler did not stop there.

He talked to Herbalists, Healers of all kinds, and Nutritionists.

He read endless papers and abstracts and scoured the scientific literature. He pored over conference proceedings.

He found treatments well beyond chemotherapy, radiation and surgery—treatments that were backed up with actual scientific proof.

As he researched, he started to apply what he learned in his hospital. And to his amazement, he saw results.

Unexpected results.

Unexpectedly Good Results

Lia’s hemangiosarcoma — in remission — Thanks to Dr. Dressler’s approach

For example, Lia L. had already had one hemangiosarcoma removed when she came back in a year later with what looked like a re-growth. Her owners wanted to try something new, and Dr. Dressler put her on some of the cutting edge supplements discussed in the book. Within six weeks the tumor showed complete remission!

In other words, the tumor is no longer there!

Meanwhile, Lia had been free of stitches, anesthesia and its complications, and all the recovery time she’d suffered with the original surgery.

Today Lia is healthy and happily playing, just like she should be.

Lia had a previous diagnosis of hemangiosarcoma when she developed this new tumor. Her owners agreed to try some of Dr. Dressler’s cutting edge treatments rather than undergo another surgical intervention. (These are actual freeze frames from video records made by Dr. Dressler’s staff.)

Six weeks later the tumor was in remission. Her course of treatment was a combination of plant-based substances derived from parsley, green tea, a common food spice, and chamomile and other plants. These were blended together and used as a capsule in Dr. Dressler’s hospital. Each of these agents, and many more, are discussed in Dog Cancer Survival Guide. Also included: doses and the natural sources for these agents.

Buddy told “two months” — still bouncing after nine!

In another hemangiosarcoma case, Dr, Dressler removed Buddy M’s tumor-ridden spleen. During surgery, he could see the cancer had already metastasized and spread to other organs. Traditional veterinary medicine says that in cases like these a dog has little more than two to four months to live, even after the surgery, without massive doses of chemotherapy.

Buddy’s owners decided to try Dr. Dressler’s other options. They figured if their dog had to live with a metastasis, at least they would give him a chance to feel good during his last months. They opted to try some of the more “experimental” (at least in vet medicine) strategies and forget about chemotherapy.

Nine months later — seven months more than expected — Buddy is still bouncing around and shows no visible signs of cancer. Dr. Dressler asked two other veterinarian colleagues for a second opinion as to whether there was a remission.

Both vets did ultrasounds, and neither could find any evidence of metastatic tumors.

Bump's Tumor Shrank By 40%: Confirmed By Ultrasound

Bump S. had an abdominal tumor that was confirmed by a biopsy to be lymphosarcoma, a cancer of the white bllod cells. Bump lived in a rural area, but he started eating the diet and taking the supplements described in the Dog Cancer Survival Guide and he regained a lot of energy that he had lost.  Before taking the advice outlined in the book, Bump's owner says that Bump was lethargic and not interested in playing.  After using the dog cancer diet and the supplements suggested, things improved and Bump showed a lot more energy.

Beyond an increase in energy and a desire to play, ultrasounds confirmed that the lymphosarcoma tumor had shrunk by 40%.

This is an ultrasound of Bump’s abdominal tumor. He had lymphosarcoma, a cancer of the white blood cells.

After receiving a course of treatment of the plant-based agents described in Dog Cancer Survival Guide (specially blended into a capsule) Bump’s tumor shrank by 40%. Bump also felt a lot better and was much more comfortable. These images are from ultrasound studies used to assess the effect of the agents described in the book.

And many more stories of hope and healing…

…A stubborn oral cancer (ameloblastoma) in Muttley C. slowed by 50% by Dr. Dressler’s treatments…

…appetite increase, weight increased, smaller oral tumor in Washburn…

…"Rip" the ferret had a tumor around his eye that typically continues to grow and grow… and after six weeks it has actually shrunk by up to 40%…

These are just a few of the successes Dr. Dressler has experienced as a result of what he is doing in his clinic — detailed in Dog Cancer Survival Guide: Beyond Surgery, Chemotherapy & Radiation.

Of course, these are individual cases, and there are many factors that affect healing — from breed to age to other health complications. There is no way to know whether your dog will respond as dramatically as these beautiful dogs did.

No matter what you have heard, your dog does not have an expiration date

You may have heard that your dog has six months or three weeks or one year to live. Stop! Think about it. How does anyone know for sure?

Your vet’s prognosis is an educated guess.

Cancer can move fast, it’s true. And it’s likely that you still have time to take care of your dog and become what Dr. Dressler calls the Primary Health Advocate.

Cut Through the Clutter and Empower Yourself with Real World Information

Everything Dr. Dressler has researched, uses, and advocates, is in one (admittedly big and comprehensive) downloadable book: Dog Cancer Survival Guide: Beyond Surgery, Chemotherapy & Radiation.

The e-book can be downloaded to your computer even if it is two o’clock in the morning and is kept up to date as new information comes in — because we are learning more every day about how to help dogs with cancer.

This is the book Dr. Dressler wrote

for his own clients…

Everything You should know about dog cancer… But Your Vet can’t (or wont) tell you in an office visit

A typical office visit leaves the vet little time to really address your questions in detail. And there is so much to know about dog cancer!

This book starts at the beginning by giving you the basic information you need--the info many veterinarians don't have the time to discuss with every client.

Here are some of the important basics covered in The Dog Cancer Survival Guide.  These basics are just that--basic things you need to know before you can formulate a plan specifically for your dog.  That is why the book includes these topics to make sure you are on a solid footing.

 You will understand these basics:

Treatment Options — what’s the best course for my dog? Side Effects — how are the treatments going to affect her? Diet — do I need to change what he eats? Supplements — what nutritional supplements should I use to treat cancer? Cause — how did this happen in the first place???? Life Expectancy — how long do I have with my dog? Pain — is my dog in pain, and will it get worse? Cure — is there any hope at all that my dog will recover?

But the book covers so much more...(keep reading)

What kind of cancer does your dog have?

This Books covers all the Major Types of Canine Cancers

Dr. Dressler reveals the "best of breed" conventional medical treatments and approaches for dog cancer, including:

Transitional Cell Carcinoma Tumors of the Nose and Sinus Hemangiosarcoma Melanoma Lymphosarcoma (also called Lymphoma) Mammary Cancer Osteosarcoma Mast Cell Tumors

He discusses each of these types of cancer so that you know what you are dealing with and have a full understanding of the conventional approach that many veterinarians would advocate.

Once You Understand the "Traditional" Western Veterinary Approach for Your Dog's Cancer...

Now You Can Go Beyond chemotherapy, radiation and surgery... so you have options

Dr. Dressler recommends carefully considering the traditional treatments, and cancer wisdom can come from other sources, too. Dr. Dressler includes information about:

The differences between allopathic, holistic, and alternative practitioners … so you can “cherry pick” treatments with confidence.

Why effective treatments from every tradition can help your dog … so you stay open to the possibilities. The five facets of cancer care, and why traditional veterinary models address only one … so you know you are doing everything you can for your dog.

How to boost the immune system … so the body’s natural ability to fight cancer comes back. How to restore body weight and reverse physical weakness … to put the spring back in your dog’s step.

How to block the cancer from raiding the body’s normal cells for their resources … to ruthlessly starve the disease of vital nutrition. How to restore life quality and increase happiness in your dog … so depression doesn’t help the cancer win.

What to look for when evaluating cancer treatment … so you can make choices with confidence. How to talk to your veterinarian … so you are a cancer fighting team, instead of a doctor and a patient.

Dealing with toxic side effects?

Try these supplements to ease the pain and soothe the stomach

If you and your vet decide to use chemotheraphy and/or radiation, listen to this...

There are powerful agents to support the body during traditional cancer treatments that have proven effective at reducing side effects and cancer symptoms. Dr. Dressler discusses the following in great detail:

Why shredding and chopping the gnarled, woody, fragrant ginger root and adding it to your dog’s food can significantly reduce nausea during chemotherapy and radiation (page 195)

How Coenzyme Q-10 supports the heart, especially when Doxorubicin is used (page 196) How Cimetidine soothes the stomach and restores the appetite so often lost because of chemotherapy and radiation (page 197)

Why glutamine is powerful intestinal support to calm diarrhea episodes when undergoing chemotherapy and radiation (page 198) How the powerful cordyceps fungus provides precious kidney support for when methotrexate and cisplatin are used, and lung support for use with Lomustine (page 199)

The cutting edge use of Indole-3-Carbinol in supporting bone marrow protection when the chemotherapy drug cyclophosphamide is in use (page 200) Guidelines for dosing levels based on weight for each of these supportive agents

Information about how these agents interact with conventional therapies.

Want to shrink that tumor or kill that cancer?

New plant-based, food-grade agents that seem to get the job done… without all the side effects

When it comes to treating the cancer itself, there are many options beyond chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.

In fact, Dr. Dressler has found in published (human!) cancer research that some cutting edge agents have been showing great promise in eradicating the signs and symptoms of cancer.

These treatments are readily available and affordable. They also provide kind, gentle support for the dog.

Dr. Dressler is using these in his own clinic and getting significant results from these experimental agents.

You’ll find out:

Why a plant pigment found in foods like artichokes, peanut hulls, and chrysanthemums is a Cancer Terminator, destroying the cancer cell’s ability to function normally and replicate in countless ways… (see page 203) Why a spice you might have in your pantry is the basis for forty different synthetic anti-cancer drugs being designed at Ohio State University… (see page 205) How apigenin — a bioflavonoid found in parsley — had the effect of reducing tumors in mice up to half of their original size (according to The FASEB Journal. 2005;19:2042-2044)… (see page 208) Why a polyphenol found in green tea is in US-based clinical trials for cancer treatment… (see page 210) Why a compound extracted from a plant in the wormwood family that has been used by Chinese doctors for centuries as an anti-malarial and fever treatment is attracting interest in the West for use in cancer treatment… (see page 212) How to decide how much to dose for each of these powerful agents, depending upon your dog’s weight and other factors. Precautions to take when using these cancer-fighters to maintain optimal health for your dog. How to find these "hidden in plain sight" supplements—available at local health food stores or on the internet — at relatively little cost to you. Why it’s so important to discuss your decision to use these potent substances with your vet — so they can modify other treatments that may be affected… or no longer necessary!

Little Known Secrets to

Support Your Dog's Immune System

Don’t just fight the cancer… support your dog’s

Whole body so it can heal faster

A normal healthy immune system has a "cancer patrol" whose only job is to remove cancer from the body… completely naturally!

In other words, the dog’s body is wise and knows how to deal with cancer, if it is not overwhelmed.

You’ll learn about:

The difference between healthy and necessary maintenance vitamin dosing and "overdosing" your dog on antioxidants… so you don’t accidentally help the cancer spread.

Why your dog should sleep in total darkness (no television light, no computer screens). How important melatonin — a natural hormone produced during sleep — is to cancer support.

Why tiny protein-building molecules called branched chain amino acids are essential to rebuilding muscle tissue lost due to cancer wasting… which amino acid supplements to use… and which to avoid. Why a common food thickener found in orange peel helps your dog’s immune system block cancer spread by cutting back on metastasis.

How a very common prescription antibiotic can also be used to stop cancer spread… but most vets don’t know it. Why sunlight is good for most dogs with cancer — and when to keep them in the shade.

Why certain mushrooms can be powerful anti-cancer agents in your dog’s body — but also why you have to be careful in giving them—and where you get them. Why today’s fast-paced lifestyles cause stress for our dogs… so you can make critical lifestyle choices and help them feel better.

Dr. Dressler's Dog Cancer Diet Plan

Your dog is what she eats…

change your dog’s diet, change her body

The importance of what your dog eats is emphasised in the Full Spectrum Approach to cancer care. Dr. Dressler shows you the ideal cancer patient diet and gives advice on how to get your dog on it with minimal stress or stomach upset.

And a cancer diet is completely different than a "healthy dog" diet!

The cancer diet section includes a basic recipe that can be customized with lots of different tasty foods to appeal to even the most finicky eater. Combine these amazing, healthy foods with the recommended plant-based supplements, and your dog will "become what he eats."

Dr. Dressler discusses:

The importance of lean, high quality protein — and why the dog food most of us feed our dogs just doesn’t cut it.

Why garlic and brightly colored vegetables — properly prepared — can boost your dog’s health. Why it is important to include fatty acids — omega 3’s — in your dog’s diet, how to choose the appropriate oils for your dog, and when you should stop.

Oral enzyme therapy’s cancer-fighting promise, and why mixing digestive enzymes into your dog’s food can improve their health. The substance found in broccoli that is a potent anti-carcinogen.

The detailed "pantry list" of foods you should have in your kitchen to support your dog’s cancer fighting abilities. Why you should leave most grains out of your dog’s food supply — and which ones to include.

The Anti-Cancer Recipe that is flexible enough to tailor for your dog’s appetite and tastes… and will help put the spring back in her step.

Your Dog is Probably Feeling Stress

The modern dog’s "unnatural enemy"… STRESS… and how to reduce its impact on your dog

If your dog lived in the wild, she’d have to deal with "natural enemies" like hunger and wolves. You may assume that because your dog is fed regularly, has shelter and companionship, she is "stress-free."

Even the most pampered pooch has to deal with "unnatural enemies" in their environment. Everything from plasma television screens to overhead power lines to bright lights late at night to poor quality nutrition to our own stressful emotions can affect our dogs.

There is a field of science called psychoimmunoneurology — that says that stress in the mind and emotional system has a direct impact on the body. A familiar example of this in humans is ulcers, which can be a direct result of excess stress.

And stress in the body can make it harder to heal from cancer.

Dr. Dressler offers many tools — some familiar, some new — that have been shown to reduce stress and elevate your dog’s mood and self esteem.

Caring for the mind-body connection is one of the most important things you can do for your dog. And it’s fun for you and your dog!

Improve your dog’s quality of life by learning:

How to start an exercise program that helps improve flexibility, builds self esteem, and makes your dog feel better — no matter how lethargic he may be.

To find out what your dog’s "joys of life" are — and include as many as possible in your Full Spectrum Cancer Care plan. Why meditation — yes, meditation — can dramatically improve your dog’s life.

Why "visualizing positive outcomes" can be an important part of your job as Primary Health Advocate. Why you might want to pray for your dog — and ask others to do the same.

Why massage, T-Touch, Reiki, and other touch therapies make excellent additions to your cancer care plan.

Cancer Prevention

The causes of cancer in dogs — and how you can help prevent it in the future

One of the first questions many dog lovers ask is, "How did this happen in the first place?"

We hear about many problems in our environment these days. Sometimes it can seem like "everything causes cancer."

And vets, when asked, often say, "We don’t know."

The truth is that many factors can increase risk. Dr. Dressler goes over the many risk factors in detail—so that you can help your dog now and keep her shielded from future toxic factors.

Carcinogens defined — how do we know if something is toxic to the body?

Common food preservatives that turn into carcinogens in the stomach. How a substance otherwise banned gets into commercial dog food.

Why food processing can cause carcinogens to develop and stay in dog food. Asbestos is banned in our buildings, but it’s in our dogs. Learn how it gets there.

How pharmaceuticals in our water supply are contributing to cancer rates. Why fluoride may be a dangerous risk for bone cancer development.

Should you quit smoking? How second-hand smoke affects your best friend. How high voltage power lines might be changing your dog’s health.

How the air your dog breathes could be filled with pollutants. Why "non-carcinogenic" substances can become toxic when combined.

Why chronic inflammation can be a precursor to cancer development. Why a breed like the Golden Retriever has a higher risk (75%) of dying of cancer.

The vaccination debate … how to decide when to vaccinate — and for what. Sunlight — friend or foe? It depends… find out how to handle fun in the sun.

Fatty Acids — what they are and why your dog needs "good" fats. How vitamin deficiencies you don’t know about can set the stage for cancer.

Unnatural sleep cycles and their role in cancer development. Stress and depression in dogs — and why your dog may be blue.

How You Can Make the Right Decision for Your Dog

Combining the information in your head with the love in your heart… how to sort through the options and create a Full Spectrum Cancer Care plan

So once you’ve got all this information — how do you decide what to do?

Dr. Dressler cannot consult every dog lover and their dog one-on-one.

However, in this book he does show you how to analyze your own dog, your dog’s cancer, and your treatment options … and come to an informed decision about what you want to do next.

Information is power. And it only works when you put it into action.

That’s why with great compassion and care, Dr. Dressler helps you to:

Understand the "normal" lifespan of your dog based on breed and body weight

Understand your dog’s current quality of life, and what you can expect next. How to evaluate ahead of time if a treatment is likely to "work" for your dog.

How to take your personality and your dog’s personality into account. What to do if you "still don’t know" exactly what course to take.

Manage your emotions so you can keep a clear head and make good decisions How to build a "team approach" with your veterinarian so you work together

Specific questions to ask your vet so you can "be the boss" and get empowered Why a second opinion should be part of your standard operating procedure when you get a cancer diagnosis — and how to ask your vet for one.

How to bring others into your cancer making decisions so you get real support. How to find financial support from organizations that help with veterinary bills. (list is on page 45)

End of Life Care & Advice

Dr. Dressler even provides a special chapter for the “dog hospice” that every loved best friend wishes for at the end of life.

Even if your dog is years away from needing the care described in this chapter, Dr. Dressler offers calming, essential advice about how to:

Know "when it’s time" for your dog and you to end your time together Set up a loving "dog hospice” so that your dog is as comfortable as possible How to say goodbye to your best friend, even when your heart is breaking What your dog would say to you "if she could speak English"

"But I found this interesting thing on the Internet..."

Why so much you’ll find online is left out

of The Dog Cancer Survival Guide

There are hundreds of cancer supplements, treatments, and "cures" that you may have read or heard about.

If it was left out of Dr. Dressler’s Full Spectrum Cancer Care plan, here is why:

There was no definite, documented data showing they work in living bodies, in real life, in the real world.

There were possible side effects that could have a negative effect on your dog, which he believes would outweigh the benefit. The evidence for their effect was only provided by the people selling the product, not by an unbiased third party.

The cost would make it only affordable for the wealthiest dog owners.

"What will my vet say?"

Your vet might not love this book… at first

Dr. Dressler identifies himself as a very traditional veterinarian who takes a Full Spectrum Approach to Cancer. And because the information in this book is "news" to many traditional vets, you may feel resistance from your own over some of his recommendations.

Dr. Dressler certainly felt “resistance” when he first read about this stuff!

Dr. Dressler has backed up all of his strategies with actual scientific proof — or it didn’t make it into the book. The vast majority of vets are glad to get this new information. If yours isn’t… you might want to ask yourself why.

Joining with your vet to make a Full Spectrum Cancer Care plan produces the best possible care for your dog and makes use of every possible avenue of cancer treatment.

The Financial Cost of Dog Cancer

The total cost of the average course of traditional cancer treatment — including medication, surgery, chemotherapy, radiations, vet consults, and other expenses — is between $5,000-$8,000.

Expenses add up in a hurry when you’re treating a serious disease like cancer, and many vets don’t often make the likely price tag clear at the time of diagnosis.

Even with all that money spent, 50% of dogs with cancer die from it.

The benefit is maybe a few more months of life. “This is unacceptable,” Dr. Demian Dressler, DVM says in his hour-long “virtual dog cancer consult.”  (You will get the complete video as a bonus when you download the e-book.)

"The Picture of Health After Four Months"

It has been wonderful for Bundy. He was given 10-12 weeks to survive, and we were told that he would deteriorate very quickly. So far he is in top condition, is happy, fit and appears the picture of health after 4 months. We are very happy with every day that he is happy and healthy. We took him to the vet for a check up last week and they couldn't believe how well he looks. She checked his lymph nodes/glands and said they appeared normal. We are still crossing our fingers but so far we are thrilled.

"Great Information that is Easy to Find and Understand"

Dr. Dressler's newest book "Dog Cancer Survival: Beyond Surgery, Chemotheraphy & Radiation" is great..!! It is wonderfully written for the companion dog owner with great information that is easy to find and understand.

Not only does it give information on the type of cancer our Lucille has but it also has given us ways to give her support by using both diet and supplemention.

This book has given us the tools and weapons to arm ourselves to help our best friend in a battle that we all pray we will win for her. And while we know that the type of cancer she has is one that could come back we are praying and doing everything in our power to help her over come it and stay healthy to live a long and happy life, she is our baby girl after all and so we do thank Dr. Dressler for his compassion and the time he gives to all of us trying to help our beloved canine friends. "Gives You HOPE"

We  heartily recommend "The Dog Survival Guide" because it gives you HOPE.

We learned so much from this book and when we adopt and love another dog, we will follow the nutritional guidelines and strive to avoid many of the commercial foods and treats that apparently are harmful. Being proactive and hopeful made those last 2 months a gift of memories that we will truly treasure.

I have recommended "The Dog Cancer Survival Guide" to many dog owners that are not experiencing cancer in their pets because I believe it offers valuable information on nutrition (etc.) to help pets live a healthier life.

The information I’ve learned so far, is far beyond the combined information from our vet and my research on the internet.

At today’s visit, our vet recommended visiting an oncologist and starting the new Palladia drug or surgery. Learning that these are not the only options is a prayer swiftly answered!

Sammy’s quality of life is most important to me!

Thanks Again,

--Sammy & TaMara
