I (Shelley) had no idea how drastically my life would change just two weeks after I finished the first draft of this book. All that I had learned and
everything I wrote about in this book was tested as our family faced yet another tragedy. On July 1, 2009, my dad was assaulted and suffered a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
